Day 1 Arrive In San Francisco

Welcome to San Francisco! Your transfer from the airport to your hotel is included. Enjoy time at leisure today. Your Tour Director is on hand this evening to answer questions and to host you for a welcome dinner featuring Indian cuisine. (Indian Dinner)

DAY 2 SAN FRANCISCO

This morning your included sightseeing takes in the Golden Gate Bridge, Nob Hill, and bustling Fisherman’s Wharf. Stop to visit the famous and fascinating ALCATRAZ PRISON. Get a close-up look at the infamous federal penitentiary that was off limits to the public for years. Afterward, the remainder of the day is yours to do some more exploring.Ride San Francisco’s historic cable cars or take a walking tour through the city’s diverse neighborhoods. Enjoy an Italian coffee at a sidewalk café in North Beach, shop in Union Square, look for bargains in Chinatown or visit the Boudin Museum & Bakery, where you can see a bakery in action and learn the story of sourdough French bread. Day 3 San Francisco: Muir Woods & Sausalito Excursion

Today venture north across the Golden Gate Bridge and into Marin County, home to MUIR WOODS NATIONAL MONUMENT, one of the few remaining groves of virgin Coastal Redwoods. These redwoods are among the tallest and oldest trees in existence and the nature trail at Muir Woods leads you into the heart of its cathedral-like grove. Next, visit SAUSALITO, an alluring village of art galleries, quaint shops and waterfront restaurants with views of San Francisco across the bay. Upon your return to San Francisco, enjoy some time at leisure and dinner featuring Indian Cuisine. Enjoy a short illumination tour to see San Francisco by night. (CB, Indian Dinner)

Day 4 San Francisco – Napa Valley – Sonora

Drive through Sonoma and Napa Valley with a visit to VIANSA WINERY – enjoy their beautiful setting with wine tasting while learning about wine production in the area. Continue on to Sonora, once a thriving center in the Gold Rushera and well known for its collection of Victorian homes. (CB, Dinner)

Day 5 Sonora – Yosemite National Park – Fresno

Leave Sonora for YOSEMITE NATIONAL PARK, a wonderland of spectacular lakes, cascading waterfalls, lush forests, giant granite domes, pinnacles, and mountains soaring as much as 4,000 feet above the valley floor. On to Fresno in California’s Central Valley. (CB)

Day 6 Fresno – Las Vegas

Today is a day of striking contrast as you journey from lush California into Nevada and across the arid desert landscape. By late afternoon, reach Las Vegas, a fantastic city of feverish gambling, neon lights, and glamorous shows. An orientation tour of the famous Las Vegas “Strip” will show you everything this neon desert oasis has to offer. Enjoy an Indian dinner tonight.(CB, Indian Dinner)

Day 7 Las Vegas

A full day at leisure for you to enjoy your hotel or explore Las Vegas on your own. We’ll offer a myriad of optional excursions including a river float trip through the Black Canyon or a visit to the impressive Hoover Dam. Tonight enjoy an illumination tour of Las Vegas followed by dinner. (CB, Dinner)

DAY 8 LAS VEGAS Another full day at leisure to enjoy Las Vegas on your own.

Tonight you may want to consider a helicopter ride to see the famed Las Vegas Strip and all of its lights. You may also choose to see one of the shows for which Las Vegas is so famous. (CB)

Day 9 Las Vegas – Grand National Park – Flagstaffs

Leave the glitz and glamour of Las Vegas en route to one of the natural wonders of the world— the GRAND CANYON. There is time to stroll and explore the canyon rim. For a once-in-a-lifetime experience, take our optional helicopter flightseeing excursion for incomparable views of flame-colored walls plunging 6,000 feet into the Colorado River. Have dinner and overnight in Flagstaff. (CB, Dinner)

Day 10 Flagstaff – Sedona – Los Angeles

This morning leave the mountain town of Flagstaff on historic Route 66 for Sedona, a thriving center for New Age arts set in canyon country. Next we pass through the weather sculptured rock formations of stunning Oak Creek Canyon. From here pass Phoenix, the Grand Canyon state, en route to Los Angeles, the world’s “Capital of Glamour.” Tonight have dinner featuring Indian cuisine. (CB, Indian Dinner)

Day 11 Los Angeles

A full day to explore the City of Angels, home of star-studded Hollywood and glamorous Beverly Hills. Your day begins with included sightseeing featuring a drive through Hollywood and a visit to Grauman’s Chinese Theatre and the famous KODAK THEATRE, where you will go behind the velvet rope to experience the home of the Academy Awards ceremonies. Your sightseeing ends with included admission into UNIVERSAL STUDIOS HOLLYWOOD®. Your coach will offer transfer back to the hotel in late afternoon or you can choose to stay and enjoy the park into the evening with an easy ride on the Metro back to your hotel. (CB)

Day 12 Los Angeles – Washington DC

Today fly to the United State’s Capital,Washington D.C. (flight not included in tour price). Tonight, enjoy an Indian dinner. (CB, Indian Dinner)

Day 13 Washington DC

The nation’s capital is a sightseeing treasure trove, and your half-day tour with a Local Guide features the Korean, Vietnam, and National WW II Memorials, Arlington National Cemetery, and other well-known sights. Stop for photos at the White House and Capitol Hill. The afternoon is free. Your Tour Director will suggest independent activities for exploring this fascinating city. The Smithsonian museums are an excellent way to spend the afternoon, admission is free and there is something to suit everyone’s taste! Tonight, your Tour Director will host dinner followed by an illumination tour of the city’s most famous memorials, a must do in Washington DC. (CB, Dinner)

Day 14 Washington DC – Philadelphia

Enjoy the morning at leisure in Washington DC before departing for Philadelphia, the “City of Brotherly Love.” Upon arrival enjoy an orientation tour that focuses on the city’s historic landmarks such as Independence Hall, where the Declaration of Independence and Constitution were signed, the Liberty Bell Pavilion and the Betsy Ross House where Betsy Ross sewed the first American Flag

Tonight, consider taking our optional horse drawn carriage ride from Independence Hall with a knowledgeable guide. It is a onderful way to see this historic city. You’ll also have an included Indian dinner. (CB, Indian Dinner)

Day 15 Philadelphia-Niagara Falls, USA

Philadelphia is the birthplace of American Independence and is steeped in history. Our morning orientation tour focuses on the city’s historic landmarks. Departing the city, head through the Susquehanna River Valley and Appalachian Mountains en route to Niagara Falls, New York for overnight and dinner. See the impressive falls by night. (CB)

Day 16 Niagara Falls, USA

Today enjoy unparallel views of magnificent Niagara Falls. Your journey begins with an elevator ride 175 feet down into Niagara Gorge to board the MAID OF THE MIST for amazing close-ups. Your afternoon is free and you may want to consider visiting the Cave of the Winds, the Niagara Discovery Center, the Aquarium of the Niagara or take a relaxing ride on the Niagara Scenic Trolley. Day 17 Niagara Falls-Corning-New York City

Journey through upstate New York with a break in Corning. From there head through the Pocono Mountains and across New Jersey into Manhattan. Tonight is free, you may want to see one of the fabulous shows that make Broadway famous worldwide. (CB)

Day 18 New York City

This morning, on the included sightseeing tour with a Local Guide, visit Broadway, take a ride to the top of the EMPIRE STATE BUILDING, see Greenwich Village, Chinatown, City Hall, Wall Street, and Trinity Church. You’ll also travel by ferry on Upper New York Bay to Liberty Island for a visit to the STATUE OF LIBERTY, a gift to the United States from the nation of France in the 1800’s. Your tour ends at Time’s Square for the remainder of the day on your own to explore this great city. Tonight, your Tour Director hosts a farewell dinner at a local Indian restaurant to celebrate the success of your vacation (CB,Indian Dinner)

Day 19 New York City – Return Home

Your tour ends today with individual transfers to the airport. (CB)
