Day 03: London
Post breakfast, start on a day’s excursion to Windsor Castle, Stonehenge and Bath – England’s most beautiful Georgian city. This tour includes entrance to Windsor Castle, the home of the Royal Family for 900 years, and the world’s largest and longest-occupied castle; worth special mention are its lavishly decorated 19th century State Apartments, the 15th century St. George’s Chapel, and its fortified walls, which dominate the delightful town that has grown up around it over the centuries. Travelling further down the rolling green Wiltshire landscape, we arrive at Stonehenge, the greatest national icon of Britain.
A collection of pre-historic stones dragged and set across in a semi-circle on a lonely plain dotted with prehistoric mounds and carvings near Salisbury, Stonehenge continues to enthral the imagination and captivate the heart of every visitor. Next, it is on to the City of Bath, an ancient city famous for its elegant Georgian architecture, the best preserved Roman spas and pump rooms, which are striking neo-classical salons where hot Spa water is drawn for drinking. Overnight stay at London.
