Kailash Manasarovar Yatra 13 Nights / 14 Days

Itinerary :-

Day 01 :Arrive Kathmandu. Transfer to hotel. Evening – detail briefing on Kailash Manasarovar Yatra

Day 02 : Visit Pashupatinath and Boudhanath. PM – Free for Kailash tour preparation

Day 03 : Early morning drive from Kathmandu (4500 ft, 1371 mt) to frontier town of Nepal, Kodari. From here walk a short distance across the friendship bridge to meet the guide from our Tibet agent. After custom and immigration formalities, drive to Nyalamu (11660 ft, 3534 mt) via Zhangmu (7545 ft, 2300 mt). Stay at Guesthouse. (Kathmandu – Kodari 114 Kms, Kodari – Nyalamu 43 Kms. = total 157 Kms. /approx. 8 hrs drive).

Day 04 :Rest day at Nyalamu for acclimatization.

Day 05 : Drive to the first high pass of Lalung La (16665 ft, 5050 mt). From here a superb view of high Himalayas can be seen from Gaurishanker, Shishapangma to Langtang himal. Drive past Khunmen Tso, Sinling, Karru Ongchen and arrive Peigutso (14540 ft, 4406 mt). Continue driving to Dongba (14180 ft, 4327 mt) via Saga (14080 ft, 4267 mt). Stay at Guesthouse. (Nyalamu – Saga 232 Kms, Saga – Dongba 144 Kms =total 376 Kms / approx. 8 hrs drive). Stay at Guesthouse.

Day 06 :Drive through the windswept territory passing many villages and camps of Yak herders with distance view of snow capped mountains. Have lunch at Mayum River(15280 ft, 4630 mt). Continue driving Have the first sight (Darshan) of Mt. Kailash before reaching Hor-Qu. Stay at Guesthouse. (Dongba – Hor- Qu 330 Kms /Approx 7 hrs)

Day 07 :Day free for Puja, Homa, Tarpan etc. Stay at Guesthouse.

Day 08 :Drive to Darchen taking parikrama of Lake Manasarovar by jeep. (Hor-Qu – Darchen 102 Kms /Approx 4 hrs).

Day 09 :Drive to Sersang valley (15200 ft, 4606 mt), Then walk through Shersong, the rebuilt Chukku Gompa, Dambing Donkhang (16137 ft, 4890mt.) and to Dirapuk (16200 ft, 4909mt). [Darchen – Sersang valley 10 Kms /drive ½ hrs, walk 13 Kms, (walk Approx 6 hrs). Stay at tented camp.

Day 10 :Climb through a moraine to a meadow at 17193 ft, 5210mt and then pass rock cairns to emerge to Dolma La at 18579 ft, 5630mt (highest altitude on this Yatra). From the pass descend via Guari Kunda Lake to the La Chukkir Villy at 16995 ft, 5150mt where you should look for the foot prints, which pilgrims believe belonged to Buddha. Descend further along, a long gentle path to Zutul-Puk Gompa (15807 ft, 4790mt.), where there is a cave in which the saint Milarepa is said to have meditated. (Total distance 20 Km /walk Approx 10 hrs). Stay at tented camp.

Day 11 :Trek along the Zhong Chu river to a bridge, cross it and climb a little before descending to 15213 ft, 4610mt from where you will have a good view of Manasarovar Lake. Meet the rest of the group members at the pick-up point and drive to Paryang. Stay at Guesthouse. Parikrama (end point – Hor Que 50 Kms, Hor Chu – Paryang 230 kms (6 Km walk for 3 hrs and drive for 5 hrs approx). Stay at Guesthouse.

Day 12 :Continue driving through the Tibetan countryside to Nyalam via Saga. (Paryang – Nyalam 480 Kms /approx. 8 hrs). Stay at Guesthouse.

Day 13 :Drive from Nyalamu to Kathmandu via Zhangmu. Chinese Immigration formalities will be done at the border (Kodari). Stay at Hotel. (157 Km /drive Approx 7 hrs).

Day 14 :Transfer to airport for departure flight

Instruction for before living home

  • Please check and make sure that you are carrying all the necessary medicines recommended by the doctor for the trip.
  • Please check that you are carrying warm clothes , water bottle, torch light with extra batteries etc.
  • Please make sure that you do not leave home without your passport.
  • Please bring supplementary food/snacks like dry nuts, dry fruits, biscuits of your choice, chocolates, chewing-gum etc for yourself or friends.
  • Check the list of items recommended for the trip and make sure that you have all the essential items with you including Pooja Samagri (worship items). Pooja Samagris are also available in Kathmandu.
  • To protect against unforeseen circumstances, we advise you to take a trip cancellation and medical insurance policy in your home country. The policy should also include coverage of transportation cost in the event of helicopter or surface evacuation being required.
  • Please make sure that you have a backpack containing water bottle, camera, films, flash light (torch), light jacket, passport, medicine etc. Please make it as light as possible.
  • Upon arrival at the entry point of Nepal (border or airport), please show your passport at the immigration office and get Nepal entry/arrival stamp or sticker on the passport though Indians do not need visa to come to Nepal. This is very important.
  • You may change Indian rupees to Nepalese rupees in Nepal and also at the border. Our staff will help to change Yuan (Chinese currency) at the border. Exchange rate at present is – Indian rupee (Rs.) 1.00 = Nepalese rupees (NPR) 1.60, Yuan 1.00 = Rs.6.00, US $ 1.00 = Yuan 8.00 (approximately)
  • Please do NOT bring 500 or 1000 rupees Indian notes it is a punishable offence in Nepal
  • You shall be accessible to your families via Telephone calls in Nyalamu , Saga & Paryang. Mobile network is not accessible after you leave Kathmandu.
  • Regarding additional expenses and in case of emergencies, we recommend you to carry cash. Rs.10,000 per person is recommended to carry for extra expenses such as Telephone Bills, Pony during Kailash Parikrma
  • Please do NOT miss the briefing. This is very important that you participate in the briefing meeting and ask any question related to your trip. Please confirm the time of briefing with our officials.
  • You may bring suite case but it is not recommended on the tour. You may store it in the hotel.

Cancellation Policies

  • If the booking is cancelled After Confirmation Rs.10,000 per person
  • If the booking is cancelled 30 days prior to departure, Rs.30,000 per person
  • If the booking is cancelled 15 days prior to departure, there will be no refund.
